Our board currently has five members and we are looking to recruit new Trustee Directors who are passionate about our local area and have experience in any of the following areas:
Housing management and development
Community engagement
Older people
Strategic planning
Organisational knowledge
Charity sector
Key responsibilities of Trustee Directors
Help ensure Thrale complies with its governing document, charity law, company law and any other relevant legislation/regulations.
Safeguard the vision and values of Thrale.
Help ensure Thrale uses its resources exclusively in pursuance of its objectives.
To contribute actively to the Board of Trustees’ role in giving firm strategic direction, setting overall policy, defining goals and setting targets and evaluating performance against agreed targets.
To promote, communicate and extend the engagement of Thrale in the area that makes up the Ancient Parish of Streatham
To help to raise the profile of Thrale
To ensure the effective and efficient administration of the organisation.
To ensure the financial stability of the organisation and ensure the organisation operates within a sound financial policy framework.
To protect and manage the property of the organisation and to ensure the proper investment of its funds.
We are looking for applicants who can commit to quarterly meetings and other activities in between. Most of all, we are looking for Trustees who are enthusiastic and keen to get stuck in.
