We have a vision of local communities that are resilient and sustainable; creating good places in which to live and grow older.
Our mission is to use our resources to help improve the lives of people in the Ancient Parish of Streatham (APS).
Each year we support groups and charities working in or across the following areas: West Norwood, Balham, Tooting, Tulse Hill, Brixton and Streatham (postcodes SW2, SW12, SW16, SW17, SE21, SE24 and SE27).
In 2021 we awarded around £50,000 in small grants to 25 local groups that are working to support individuals and create resilient communities in these areas. They provide a range of services that include a debt advisory service, a community technology support group, mental health first aid training for volunteers, a parent support phoneline - giving support to parents during the COVID-19 pandemic, an activities programme for older people, junior singing sessions, restoration of local benches, a community football programme, community gardening and much more.
For a second year running we have been overshadowed by the COVID-19 pandemic. We could not be more proud of the groups and others who have stepped up to feed, protect and support so many in their local communities during such difficult times.
Our 2022 grant programme again aims to focus on those who have suffered or may suffer because of the impact COVID-19 has had on all our lives over the past two years.
